7 Steps To Find Your True Purpose & Happiness
Every cell in my body seems to be complaining about it, my heart feels heavy, and yet my mind will somehow drag me out of bed and into work. And I will give in. This is what feels so wrong – that my body, soul and mind are not in sync. My thoughts, words and actions are not in harmony.

My own dreams and visions are of a life filled with peace, solitude and harmony. And also of plenty.

A life filled with what I’d like to fill it with – writing, meditation, nature, yoga, and reading. And nowhere in there is my corporate job that’s filled with insincerity and insecurity, that borders on selling my soul.

I feel like a puppet, tied up in strings, and the strings are dragging me out of bed each morning, dressing me in corporate costumes, and dancing me across desks.
Finding out your life purpose is one of the most fulfilling journeys that you can ever take. How to Find Your Purpose in Life. If you don't feel fulfilled by or happy with your life, you may decide to evaluate your life's purpose.

Here are 7 Steps To Finding Your True Purpose

Get in touch with what really matters to you in the world and in your life.

What do you get passionate talking about, reading or exploring? Before taking impulsive action steps toward a new career, business opportunity, or new relationship, ponder what gives you that inner surge of excitement. This could be the most important key for long-term staying power and success.

Refine Your Goal

My first step was the recognition that I wasn’t living the life I wanted to live – that was just the beginning.
And then I had to figure out the kind of life I wanted to live.
I had to define and refine what my goal was – Gold.
I defined my Gold as a life of peace, a life filled with meaning and purpose.
I wanted to transition from a material to a spiritual life. I wanted to spend time in nature, in contemplation, and in solitude.

I wanted to earn a living from what I was passionate about learning, and not in a soul-less office space. I wanted to spend time and energy only on what made me radiant, what brought me joy, and nothing else.

Be quiet

You cannot and will not be able to know yourself until you take the time to be still. Many people don’t know themselves because any sort of silence scares them; it’s too uncomfortable to be alone with every flaw staring back at them. But it isn’t until you get alone, evaluate yourself and are completely truthful with yourself that you will actually be able to see every facet of your life—the good and the bad. Be quiet and discover your true self.

Let Go Of The Lead

Before I could create something new, I noticed that there was a lot that I was holding on to, the dross that was weighing me down. Clinging to the leaded dregs left no room for new experiences, new growth, or new opportunities.

So I started letting go of things that felt heavy, things that didn’t mean anything any more. I stopped going to office parties that terrified me, I stopped networking with work “friends,” I stopped watching news and didn’t need TV to keep me busy, I stopped going to places of worship that seemed more like social gatherings…

In short, I stopped doing everything I could to not do things that didn’t bring me joy.

Assess your relationships

A large aspect of knowing yourself can be found in your relationships. When you realize you’ll never truly know anyone else until you discover yourself, the importance of knowing yourself becomes even more apparent. This truth especially rings true for business leaders, because if you don’t know the people on your team, then you will be lost as a leader. But this rule also applies to any relationship in your life. Almost as much as you need to know yourself, other people also need to know who you are. People need you—the real you.

Use your reflections to fight your biggest fears, because when you understand who you are meant to be, your purpose will finally become bigger than your fears. When you realize who you are, you will spend less time spinning your wheels. Focusing on your strengths gives you the needed traction to begin making a bigger and better difference in the world. When you know yourself, you will find more peace, and you will find success quicker than ever before.

Stay On The Golden Path!

Once you found your purpose, all you need to do now is to stay the course. As long as you stay true to what feels right, You're golden.

For me, Just as I had envisioned, I’m creating a life of meaning, I’m transitioning from material to spiritual, and I’m spending my time on everything that fills me with radiant energy.

When I stray off my path, I feel that too – in the misalignment,  in sensing when I’m off-center. It took me a while to find my path, but now that I’m on it, I’m filled with Peace and Purpose.
