Your morning sets the course for your day, so how you start it is important. There are a handful of factors that help ensure a calm, pleasant morning. Use the RISE method to remember what you should do when you wake up.
We’ve suggested most of the habits mentioned in this mnemonic device. “RISE” is a little on the nose, but knowing what each letter stands for can help you remember what you should do every morning to start your day off right.
The “R” means Refrain from hitting the snooze button.
The “I” stands for Increase your activity in the first hour. Meaning exercise right after you wake up, or just do something small like a quick walk.
The “S” stands for Shower.
The “E” stands for Expose yourself to sunlight.
The “U” is so you listen to “Upbeat” music.
The “P” stands for Phone a friend . . . because talking to someone forces you to be more alert.
Your morning routine may vary, but this will at least get you started in the right direction. For more detail, head to the full post at the link below.
